Our method.

THE INTEGRATION PROBLEM:

80% of M&A deals lose value. Why? Because the integration process is overlooked.

Our
4-step approach.

01

Develop strategy

A lack of focus on integration can exacerbate latent issues and hinder productivity. We deploy comprehensive diagnostic protocols across departments to understand performance levels, capture synergy opportunities and identify areas for targeted integration. We manage all workstreams via an integration roadmap.

03

Engage with employees

Typically, only 5-10% of employees are actively involved in an integration project, which can lead to staff disengagement. Scion counteracts the build-up of negative sentiment by directly involving the whole population in the design of the future-state organisation.

02

Establish discipline

Teams lacking in integration experience are unable to effect change to improve efficiency and performance. Our comprehensive integration roadmap incorporates an interactive journal where teams document all meetings, actions and files to maintain momentum throughout and beyonthe project.

04

Deliver reporting

Without transparency, insight and reporting, management teams can lose sight of progress while undertaking a transformational change programme. We regularly present to private equity shareholders (if applicable) and management teams to review issues and make strategic decisions.

DAY -90
LAUNCH STRATEGY

Integration planning commences in parallel with the due diligence process, during which we will undertake our 6-week diagnostic  phase.

DAY 0
COMMENCE 100-DAY PLAN

We develop our strategy in line with the findings of the diagnostic phase. Monthly steering committees brief investors and management teams of project progress at Day 30, Day 60 and Day 90.

DAY 100
DELIVER FINAL REPORT

Investors and management gain insight into workstream milestone achievements, with a focus on efforts that need to continue as transformation projects beyond the 100-day integration scope.

DAY 365
ONE YEAR CHECK-IN

Scion conducts a 1-year performance review to ensure that progress across integration areas and wider transformation projects have continued with required momentum.

Scion is a first call organization for any integration need.
